ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the relationship between electrolyte level change with prognosis in the patients with craniocerebral injury. Methods A total of 360 patients with craniocerebral injury in this hospital during 2012-2015 were selected as the research subjects and divided into the mild craniocerebral injury group (171 cases),moderate craniocerebral injury group(104 cases)and severe craniocerebral injury group(85 cases) according to the Glasgow coma scale. The severe craniocerebral injury group was further divided into the high level blood sodium subgroup(73 cases)and stable level blood sodium subgroup(12 cases)according to the lev-el of blood sodium, meanwhile 70 persons undergoing healthy physical examination were selected as the control group. The plasma electrolyte levels(blood sodium, potassium, chloride)in each group were detected within 5 d after admission. Then the results were statistically analyzed. Results Compared with the control group, the blood sodium, potassium and chloride levels had no statistical difference between the mild and moderate craniocerebral injury groups(P>0.05).The blood sodium and chloride levels in the severe craniocerebral inju-ry group were higher than those in the mild and moderate craniocerebral injury groups, the difference was sta-tistically significant(P<0.01).The blood potassium level had no statistical difference between the mild,mod-erate and severe craniocerebral injury groups with control group(P>0.05).In the severe craniocerebral injury group, there were 58 cases(79.45%)of death in the high level blood sodium subgroup and 4 cases(33.33%) of death in the stable level blood sodium subgroup, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Con-clusion Clinically monitoring the blood sodium level change in the patients with craniocerebral injury,espe-cially severe craniocerebral injury,is conducive to the disease recovery.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To assess the value of voiding urosonography (VUS) with SonoVue in evaluation of vesicoureteral reflux.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Thirty-six pediatric patients (72 pyeloureter units [PUUs]) suspected of vesicoureteral reflux underwent both VUS and fluoroscopic voiding cystourethrography (VCUG). The sensitivity of VUS and VCUG and their consistency in detecting vesicoureteral reflux as well as in grading vesicoureteral reflux were compared.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Vesicoureteral reflux was detected in 26 of the 72 PUUs (36.1%) by VUS while in 21 PUUs (29.2%) by VCUG (P=0.347). The two modalities yielded the same results for 65 PUUs (κ=0.843), showing a very good consistency between them. VUS also detected post-urethral valve in 2 patients via transperineal scans.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>VUS with Sonovue has at least comparable, if not better, sensitivity in detecting vesicoureteral reflux with VCUG, and therefore should serve as the primary screening and follow-up modality for vesicoureteral reflux. In addition, transperineal VUS can be helpful in evaluation of post-urethral lesions.</p>

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate precaution effect of ephedrine on protamine's untoward reaction. Meth-ods Forty patients, who were scheduled to have mitml valve replacement operation were randomly divided into two groups: ephedrine group(group A, n = 20) and control group (group B, n = 20). 50ml solution, mixed with protamine and 5% glucose, was injected through internal jugular vein in five minutes to neutralize the effect of heparin. In group A,3mg ephedrine was added into neutralization solution while in group B nothing was added. Arterial pressure(AP) , heart rate(HB) peripheral hemoglobin oxygen saturation(SpO2) and airway resistance(AR) were measured before injection and 1,3,5,10 minutes after injection in both groups. Results In group A, the AP, HR, SpO2 and AR had no significant difference before and after injection (P >0.05) ;while in 6 eases of group B, the AP, HR, SpO2 and AR have significant difference before and after injection. Conclusion Ephedrine can significantly improve protamine's untoward reaction, and neutralize the effect of heparin.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the velocity of left ventricular wall motion features of normal subjects and patients with abnormal regional wall movement of left ventricle with the quantitative tissue velocity imaging(QTVI),and to know whether variances exit between the velocity of left ventricular myocardial motion of the normal subjects and the abnormal subjects with coronary artery disease(CAD) and myocardial ischemia. The practical value of QTVI on myocardium movement of left ventricle was evaluated. Methods The segmental left ventricular wall motion velocity was measured on 27 normal subjects and 21 patients with CAD and myocardial ischemia, including three waves, peak velocity of systolic S wave, diastolic E wave,A wave, and time velocity integrate of S wave(S TVI) was used as measurement parameters. The parameters were analysed between the two groups. Results The velocity and S TVI were gradually decreased from base to apex in the same wall in the control group. There were some abnormal segmental movements in the abnormal group. S wave ,E wave and S TVI of diseased segments in the abnormal group were much lower than those of control group ( P  0.05 ). Conclusions QTVI can quantitatively measure the velocity in abnormal movement segment of ventrical wall of patients with CAD and myocardial ischemia.S wave,E wave and S TVI are better parameters of assessing systolic function of left ventricle.QTVI has clinical application in regional myocardial motion function evaluation.
